Joby Saad (pronounced sad) grew up in Nashville, TN. Joby read every book about Harry Houdini and by the age of twelve was performing magic shows for children's birthday parties most weekends. Joby says “Dad would build the props, and mom would give me props”.

When the magic didn’t work, audiences laughed. This gave Joby the opportunity to do what he was destined for, comedy. But his big break came when he got the opportunity to perform on the family friendly television series "Bananas Comedy", titled Joby Saad "Village Idiot" became a best seller. In 2006 Joby was one of the comedians chosen for the Warner Brothers production “Thou Shalt Laugh” starring Patricia Heaton from “Everybody Loves Raymond”. This project featured seven of the nation’s top clean comedians and went on to become the highest selling Comedy Concert DVD, and broadcast on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Regular appearances on Nashville Now, and Music City tonight gave Joby his start in television. These opportunities has allowed Joby to perform in Churches throughout the United States for over 20 years, playing a pivotal role in Youth Ministry.

Developing his skills at his hometown club Zanies Nashville, Joby the opportunity to perform and Tour with the nations top comedians such as Tim Allen, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Brian Regan, Dane Cook, Rob Schneider and Paula Poundstone. It was Disney Star Jim Varney who encouraged Joby to leave Nashville and pursue stand up in Los Angeles.

Concert promoter Steve Moore hired Joby to open for his concerts, Steve Moore later becoming head of CMA Association. Soon Joby was opening concerts, headlining the top Comedy Clubs in the country and was a regular guest on the Nashville Network.

Joby’s talents were noticed by George Shapiro (Jerry Seinfeld’s Manager) during a performance at the Ice House in Pasadena California. “The next thing I know I’m auditioning for network sitcoms” says Joby. 

Joby launched his own television series “Vidiots”. This is a throwback to the golden age of film and silent comedy. “I love being able to tell a story and reach an audiences of all ages and languages. Humor is universal”. Although broadcast on cable, it has become a YouTube sensation and is what gets Joby recognized from a international audience.

Known for his expressive, rubbery face. Joby credits comedy greats such as Steve Martin, Jim Carrey, and Tim Conway, Shelley Berman, Charlie Chaplin as his influences.

His stand-up, like his films, involves a lot of physical comedy. He frequently closes his shows with an inspired bit where, in pantomime, he removes one pair of pants after another, becoming a new character each time. 

Joby has had the honor of performing for our troops in Honduras, Puerto Rico, and Guantanamo Bay, receiving his orders from the Department of Defense, Joby has proudly entertained the children of 101st airborne, Fort Campbell Ky, The children and families of St. Jude Hospital, and Le Bonheur children’s Hospital in Memphis is what I’m most proud of. Five years on the stage at Lifest, the largest Christian music festival in Oshkosh Wisconsin.

in 2022, thanks to the success of Joby's Drybar Comedy special "Village Idiot"produced by VidAngel Studios Joby launched his first one man show on New York City's Broadway at the Sonnet Theatre during the New York Comedy Festival. 

When he is back home in Nashville he is frequently asked to do studio warm up for TBN's Mike Huckabee show, along with Keith Bilbrey. 

Corporate events, Comedy Clubs, and Church appearances keep Joby growing and challenging himself to bring audiences one of the most original and hilarious shows in Comedy.

Most recently Joby just signed a distribution deal with Faith based Crown TV Entertainment for his silent comedy series "VIDIOTS".

Joby co - produces the Clean Comedy Challenge with comedian Leslie Norris Townsend promoting clean comedy that just completed its 15th successful annual season. 

Joby Headlined the Italy Comedy Festival in Florence Italy in 2023, which highlighted a Benefit Concert for Ukrainian children, supporting https://www.weareallukrainians.de 

2024 Joby performed on Holland America cruises in the Caribbean, as well as debuted his new stage play "Minnie Pearl's Chicken" at the Nashville Dinner Theater! Joby continues to tour America with his live show "The Village Idiot".

Joby is also producing, directing, a family Christmas movie titled "Mall Santa" that has begun production and promises an all star cast to be released Christmas 2025.
